so i have actually read xanga a little bit in the last little while and i miss hearing about whats going on with everyone... hope all is well!! congrats steph, on being done so soon!! eek! so exciting

i was going to say that the reason i have been so absent is because of facebook but i think the fact that my last post (like 4 months ago) says i joined facebook and then i was never seen again made that point clear without me realising it....

hhmmm... to quickly sum up.. i am SOOOOO excited to marry brody. we found our apartment! and its awesome!! everyone: come see it soon!! it wont be really furnished til july (after the BIG day) but brody is going to move in in may. oh man... we love it!!! other than that.... nothing too much is new. work is nuts. but i am loving life right now. i really am. and i dont exactly know why..... coz a LOT of things have gone wrong lately. actually i do know why. it's coz loving God has been high on the list lately. i wish i could say it's first... but it will be. i want nothing more than for Him to be first.

so i joined 'facebook' at elin's request and it is seeming to me to be the same as myspace... oh no... what have i done....

for those of you who dont know elin, she's amazing. she's from cardiff which is only ONE of the reasons she is amazing. she is visiting until saturday. i will be sad to let her leave. but it is all ok because she is singing in my wedding. thats right. but only songs from 'the wedding singer'.

the kittens are getting so big and crazy and cute. steph thinks Gracie has ugly eyes apparently but thats ok. i dont think so. they're beautiful. Popsicle is long-haired and the rest are short.... weird... think charlie had multiple mates... gross

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DAWNA!!!!!!!! you're one of the most amazing people i know!! i have never known someone so selfless and consistently kind. i love you so much and am so grateful already for your help with the wedding!!! i'm so glad you're my bridesmaid!!! thank you for my treasure hunt last night. sooooo cute are you

well... the internet is working and now i need to share the story for anyone who mught read it:

bascially, Brody is incredible

non-basically, we went to his parents place to see his nephews for a while (who are soooo cute!) and instead of getting back into his car to leave, we got into his dad's truck (which had a canoe strapped to the top). i asked where we were going and he said 'silver lake'. i was SOOO excited!!! i havent been back there in a few years and it was the camp where we used to all go for retreats and summer camps....etc.. it is also where we met, a million years ago. it was SO funny being back there!! as soon as we drove through the camp, i kept starting to laugh coz i kept remembering how young we were at that camp and funny things that happened to us there.

we got out of the canoe and pretty much got right in the water. the weather was BEAUTIFUL. i cant believe how perfect the day was. thanks God.

we canoed to the other side of the lake to a gorgeous provincial park that was closed. we had a really nice picnic and then got up and went for a walk. we  got to a point that the rocks came to beside the water and sat and talked for a bit. it was beautiful. then we got up and that was where he asked me.

then we walked around for a bit and then i took a bunch of pictures and we got backin the canoe to leave. i cant even explain how excited i was. it was amazing. then we got back to the camp andhe gave me a bag. inside the bag was a bunch of dressy clothes and everything i could possibly need to get dressed up (compliments of Katia). brody had arranged for us to get ready at our friends cottage and then we left for dinner.
it was a restaurant that cannot be explained. it was absolutely gorgeous and the people were so nice. when they figured out that he had already proposed the waitress brought out roses and champagne. we had prime rib and yorkshire pudding... incredible. then we walked around the gift shop that was attached to the restaurant (also insanely beautiful) and bought something for our first house :)

it was PERFECT! then we drove home... i think i've been floating on clouds ever since.............

and of course..... we came back to this:

it was the best day of my whole life

WHAT A WEEKEND!!

wow!!! this weekend was incredible!!

big news: I'm ENGAGED!!! Brody proposed on Saturday and it was the best day of my life... he planned out everything so perfectly.... he's amazing.. i will post details when they can be accompanied by pictures..

then we came home that night and during the day Charlie had had her kittens!! i'm sad that Sarai beat me to that news as i was very excited to share it, but the internet hasnt been working at home so i had to wait til today at work to get on the computer here...

i have two big picture posts coming as soon as the internet gets fixed at home!!! mark my words, there will be good pictures!!!

and friendsgiving was, of course, a wonderful time.... so many laughs!!
